MLAC is run entirely by parent volunteers. By registering your child/ren you agree to assist in the running of Sunday competitions and the supervision of your own child/ren.

The program we have constructed for athletes is varied and well balanced. They are expected to participate in all events at all age levels. Two programs are conducted, on alternate weeks, to ensure athletes can experience all events on a number of occasions throughout the season.

‘Come and Try’ Sessions

Families are welcome to attend Magill Little Athletics Centre for up to two free ‘Come and Try’ sessions. There is a requirement to register for these sessions (for insurance purposes) although no fee is charged. Please visit www.salaa.org.au and complete all relevant details. Athletes will then be able to participate in competition for the day.

Season Fees for 2017/18

  • $140 for 1st athlete
  • $130 for 2nd athlete
  • $85 for 3rd athlete
  • $Nil for 4th and subsequent athletes
  • Tiny Tots $110 for each athlete

Payment Options for 2017/18 season have changed

Payment is only possible at the time you complete the on-line registration of your athletes.  This payment then goes to SALAA who will reimburse the club with our component of the fees after taking their association fee.

Registration Information for New Members

To register as a Little Athlete please finalise your registration through the SALAA on-line registration system. This is the only way to finalise registration.

You need to visit the South Australian Little Athletics Association website, www.salaa.org.au, select the blue “Register Now” box,  This will take you to the Membership Portal where you are required to create a Parent Profile.  When complete follow the prompts and click on  Membership Registration on the left of the page.  Ensure you select Magill Little Athletics Centre. When ready to pay click on the Shopping Cart at the top of the page. Select the number of athletes* then follow the prompts.  Print your registration confirmation and receipt and bring them with you to the Registration Table at the next home meet.

Registration Information for Current Members

You need to visit the South Australian Little Athletics Association website, www.salaa.org.au, select the blue “Register Now” box,  This will take you to the Membership Portal where you are required to login.  For previous members login and click on the Membership tab.  This will take you to the parent account page which you can update where applicable.  When complete follow the prompts and click on  Membership Registration on the left of the page.  When ready to pay click on the Shopping Cart at the top of the page.

Please note that all registrations MUST be completed online.

Where do your fees go?

Approximately one half of these fees are paid to SALAA. This allows the organisation to hold major events throughout the year, administer the association and insure all participating athletes and our equipment. The balance of these fees is used to administer the Magill club (including upgrading and replacing equipment and purchasing trophies and medals at the end of each season). We believe this represents excellent value for money.

Uniform

It is compulsory to wear the full club uniform . Uniforms can only be purchased from the Club at our home meets. All athletes, including Tiny Tots, must be registered and ‘in uniform’ to be able to compete in Little Athletics. (*Tiny Tot athletes only are able to purchase a plain gold coloured polo in lieu of the official Magill T-shirt)

The full uniform package costs $85.00 (T-shirt, Lycra shorts, Hat and Socks)

Individual uniform items are:

  • T-shirt – $40
  • Lycra Shorts – $25
  • Running shorts (U9+ only) – $45
  • Hat – $15
  • Socks – $10.

Payment can be made by cash on the day.

Policies

Cancellation of Home Meets are rare. The preference of the Club is to adjust events so that athletes can participate safely. If necessary, the President will authorise cancellation of the meet and update this website by 8.15am on the day of Competition.

Events held at SA Athletics Stadium are organised by SALAA and follow their own guidelines and/or adjusted programmes.
